Since its inception, our Graceful Quills Poetry Workshops has opened up a safe space for participants to share their personal stories and bond with one another through poetry. A firm believer in the healing and transformative qualities of the written word, we invite you to a therapeutic experience on the typewriter.
Typewriter Poetry as Self Expression

Learn the fundamentals of self-expressive poetry in this therapeutic 3-hour workshop. Artist-poet Graceful Quills will guide you in expressing your thoughts, emotions and ideas through the written word.
Cap off the process by typing your piece out on a typewriter, a relic of the past that was once a necessity in many homes and offices.

A Thousand Words’ Worth:
Write poems from your photographs

In this 2-hour writing workshop, you will learn how to translate visual imagery to text-based imagery, using your own photographs as a ready resource for literary expression. Bring along a photograph that holds special meaning for you and write a poem about it!

Typewriter Jamming:
Poetry Session on Classic Typewriter

Type up a poem or a thank you card using a classic typewriter.
If you are looking for a fun way to relax or things to do during weekends, you would love typewriter jamming at our cosy studio. Instead of using pen & paper or a computer, tapping away with a typewriter cultivates an appreciation for the written word, inviting you to be present in the process and savour the sounds of a nostalgic past. At the end of the 2-hour session, you’ll get to bring home your very own, framed typewritten poem.
